Following the US Open, Andre Agassi says he'll turn in his tennis whites and retire. (Sigh. I still remember Agassi from back in the day, when he had that sweet feathered mullet thing going on.) Ah well, two decades is a pretty good run, don't you think?
Agassi is currently in England getting prepped for Wimbledon. Which, for all you non tennis fans, is only one of the biggest bet upon tournaments of the year. (Andre Agassi is listed at 60/1 odds to win Wimbledon. Might be worth throwing down a bit of coin on a retiring veteran.)
"It's been a long road this year for me, and for a lot of reasons. It's great to be here," Agassi said at the news conference held at Wimbledon. "This Wimbledon will be my last, and the U.S. Open will be my last tournament."
So long my friend. You've made me a rich girl over the last few years. Go hard at Wimbledon and kick some ass at the U.S. Open.
