Brian Heidik, who you may (or may not) remember as the $1 million winner of "Survivor: Thailand", was charged with battery and cruelty to animals Wednesday for allegedly shooting a puppy with an arrow.

"At about 3 a.m., his wife called to report that he was outside and that he had shot a puppy that was on his property with an arrow and planned to shoot another one," Douglas County Chief Deputy Stan Copeland said (as reported by the Associated Press).

Still no details on why Heidik thought it necessary to shoot a puppy, but the fact that he fled the scene in his car when police arrived pretty much seals the case against him. Puppy killer
