We are thrilled to announce The Ongame Network Poker Classic, a tournament with a record-breaking guaranteed prize pool of $5 million and at least $1 million for the final winner. This will be the largest-ever guaranteed prize for an event that starts online.

The Ongame Network Poker Classic will start as an online tournament and then pause when there are 45 players left. Those 45 will then be sent to Barcelona, Spain, for the live final to battle it out on the green felt face to face – continuing with the same chip stacks they had when the online tournament paused. This final will take place in the beautiful Casino de Barcelona (www.casino-barcelona.com) during the weekend of 30th of September to 1st of October 2006.

The only way for a player to participate in the live tournament is to be one of the top 45 players in the online tournament. This is not an ordinary qualifier to a live tournament where anyone who pays the entry fee in Barcelona can participate. The buy in for the online final is $5000+200 which can be bought in directly or won through our qualifiers.

Qualifying structure
There will be a dedicated tab in the tournament lobby for qualifiers. The only events that will appear there will be for the Ongame Network Poker Classic.

Scheduled qualifiers:
Stage 1:
$6+1, runs 12 times per day, pays out 1 ticket to Stage 2 for every 9 entrants. One ticket guaranteed.

Stage 2:
$50+4, runs 2 times every day, pays out 1 ticket to Stage 3 for every 7 entrants. One ticket guaranteed.

Stage 3:
$300+20, runs once a week, pays out 1 ticket to the online final for every 18 entrants. One ticket guaranteed.

Sit & Go qualifiers:
Turbo sub qualifier:
$1+0.10, one ticket to Stage 1.

Stage 1:
$9+1, one ticket to Stage 2 and 2nd place gets ticket to Stage 1 + $7.

Stage 2:
$68+5, one ticket to Stage 3 and 2nd place gets ticket to Stage 2 + $7.

Stage 3:
$580+20, one ticket to the online final and 2nd place gets ticket to Stage 3
