Point Allocation
Leader Board rank is calculated daily by summing a player's tournament points over the past week, month and year. Every tournament with an entry fee is an opportunity to earn points toward the Leader Board.
To earn tournament points a player must:
Play in a room wide, scheduled multi-table tournament Finish in any one of the top 10 positions Pay an entry fee (Action point freerolls do not count toward the Leader Board) Tournament points are calculated using 3 weighted factors:
P: position in the top 10 (see below) S: size of the tournament (see below) E: entry fee (see below) Tournament Points can be calculated with this equation:
Tournament Points = (p)(s)(e) + (p) + (s)
For any tournament, you can calculate your points using the tables below.
For example, if you achieve position #3 (p = 10), in a tournament with 200 players (s = 2.0), and paid an entry fee of $10.00 (e = 1.0)
You earn 10 x 2.0 x 1.0 + 10 + 2.0 = 32.0 Tournament Points.
Total Leader Board Points are calculated by simply adding Tournament Points:
Leader Board Points = the sum of all Tournament Points over the given time frame
Once a day, the Poker Leader Board calculates the sum of all the tournament points awarded for the past week, month and year.
When more than one player achieves the same points total, that rank is shared among those players. All multi-table tournament players who pay an entry fee are automatically included in the Leader Board competition.
Leader Board Calculator
The calculator show TLB points in a single tournament. Players can quickly reference how many point they have earned or can earn in various scenarios. Here, players can input Position, Size, and Fee Weighting to get the corresponding Tournament Points. The Calculator can also provide the user with the Over-all points result by inputting current and existing points.
