WIGAN new boy Emile Heskey is 12/1 to start England's first Euro 2008 qualifier after his move from Birmingham, Ladbrokes said last night.
The Leicester-born frontman is 6/4 to finish top goalscorer for the Latics following his £5.5 million transfer yesterday (Friday).
Ladbrokes make him 4/7 to score more goals than he did last season (5) and 7/2 to out-gun Jason Roberts, who netted 14 times before moving to Blackburn Rovers.
But he is a highly unlikely 100/1 to finish top Premiership goalscorer in his first season at the JJB Stadium.
Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "We're not expecting him to set the heather on fire, but you never know."
