Ryan Moore’s double at Salisbury yesterday has forced William Hill to again trim his price to win the flat jockeys championship. The young jockey, whose form in the saddle has warmed with the weather, is now just 7-2 to win the title having been 10-1 at the start of the month. In contrast Jamie Spencer was eased out to 2-5 from 4-11, having started the month at 1-3, and Robert Winston was left unchanged at 5-1 having been the 11-4 second favourite just two weeks ago.

Ingleby Arch, who was a negative with the sponsors ahead of Saturday’s William Hill trophy at York, was a positive again late on Tuesday forcing William Hill to cut the David Barron trained three year old back into 6-1 joint favourite. Lady Orpen was the only other positive in the race and following some early morning support William Hill trimmed Patrick Morris’ Filly into 20-1 from 25.
